Portable GD-2133W Cable Sheath Fault Detector

General Information
GD-2133W Cable Sheath Fault Detector is mainly used to pinpoint the sheath fault of single core cable, earth leakage fault of LV cable and prelocate sheath fault of HV cable. Also, it can be used to do withstand voltage test (10kV/1min) for XLPE cable sheath and find major risks of earth fault and leakage current in 10~500kV single core and three core HV and ultra HV cable sheath accurately. Besides, it can do DC hipot test (5~10kV/1min) for high density PE & PVC cable sheath.

Test principle
Sheath fault detection of underground cable is generally believed to have two steps: distance measurement and fault location, which is the same as that of power cable. There are two methods in distance measurement: voltage drop method and electric bridge method. For electric bridge method, it has the advantage of accurate measurement and simple operation, but it cannot measure multi point ground fault or test fault of three phase cable chain type ground connection. For voltage drop method, it can achieve both two measurements. Step voltage method is applied in pinpointing the cable sheath ground fault.

GD-06 Cross-linked Cable Sheath Fault Tester
It is mainly used to do withstand voltage test for cross-linked cable sheath, pinpoint the earth leakage fault of LV cable and prelocate sheath fault of HV cable. It outputs voltage 10kV and below, fully meets the test code of hipot test in cable sheath fault in GB50150-2006. Also, it can be used to find major risks of earth fault and leakage current in 10~500kV single core and three core HV and ultra HV cable sheath accurately. Besides, it can do DC hipot test (5~10kV/1min) for high density PE & PVC cable sheath.
