GIT Series GIS High Voltage Test Set

Product Description

The system is especially designed for testing GIS in the factory and on-site test, and for testing all GIS switchgears and GIS components such as insulators, insulating tension pole, GIS voltage transformer etc. As its good encapsulation, it can perform PD test in normal environment. When it tests partial discharge, the PD level is less than 3pc, and it can be added a HV bushing to perform the withstand voltage test at the same time.

Function of the testing system

1. The encapsulated test transformer is a conventional transformer and step-up the

voltage coming from the voltage regulator. The compensating reactor connect with the HV transformer primary winding to compensate the capacitive current. (The HV transformer LV side has an independent compensating winding.)

 2. For the on-site testing system, the voltage regulator, compensating reactor, isolating transformer and control system are integrated into a cabinet. It gives a most compact equipment with a minimum number of components to be transported and connected for testing.

3. Using HV disconnecting switch to disconnect all types of test object connector to achieve widely use.

4. Three-phase change-over switch to test three phase in box system.

5. Universal adjustable platform to make HV transformer flange test object more conventional.

Specifications

 

1.  GIT HV Testing transformer
The HV testing transformer is the most important part of this system, it is housed in a special tank which is insulated by SF6 gas and is terminated on its HV side by a basin type insulatorAll LV terminals are housed in a connection box.

The LV windings is divided into 2 groups: excitation winding and measurement winding (Measurement winding is used for system testing). For the high capacity (up to 500KVA) transformer, it has the independent compensation winding to allow better flexibility in function of the test voltage & load, which enhances the compensating reactor efficiency.

Aerating/vacuum connector, pressure monitor, over-pressure release valve, temperature and pressure sensor are incorporated in the GIT tank, for the remote monitoring by the computerized control unit.

Remark: The rated capacity of GIT transformer is Max.output of the HV testing transformer. If other components like coupling capacitor, capacitive divider, bushing,  connecting flange and basin type insulators are added, the supply power consumption to the test object will be reduced.

2. Voltage regulator

It is air-insulated Cylinder type voltage regulator, which output voltage smoothly.This part is put in a chassis together with isolation transformer, compensation reactor, for convenient transportation. Both input and output terminal of voltage regulator install air-break and power system isolation. It can adjust motor at fast and slow speed. The zero-start interlock ensure the voltage regulated from zero.

 3. Isolation transformer

This device is designed for reducing the interference from main power line and ensured the PD value is less than 1pC when making PD test.

 The capacity of Isolating transformer is comply with voltage regulator.

 4. Capacitive divider

 The measuring signal is from the built-in HV capacitive divider of the GIT transformer.

The equipped peak voltmeter displays HV peak voltage, peak value/√ 2 and RMS.

 Measurement accuracy:±1% of the measured value(10-100% of rated voltage)

5. Coupling capacitor

The coupling capacitor is installed in a gas insulated tank. The HV electrode connected with HV terminal by the basin type insulators. As it is installed in a full sealed metal tank, the PD measurement is very sensitive and can not be effected by other stray capacitance. The LV electrode was connected with measurement impedance by the shielding wire.
