General Information

Surge arrester counter is a device used to record the number of lightning strike suffered by AC metal oxide arrester without gaps. The reliability of counter operation is very important to the power system. It is an important parameter to record the strike frequency of arrester in normal operation. It can provide professionals with an important basis for the inspection of surge arresters.

The arrester action counter plays the role of monitoring the arrester leakage current and recording the number of lightning strikes. The leakage current directly reflects the performance of the arrester. In addition, every time before the thunderstorm season, workers have to test whether the counter can reliably operate or not. The arrester counter detector is a kind of practical instrument to meet the needs in the field.

GD-IV Surge Arrester Counter Tester has two detection functions: counter test and ammeter adjustment. They can be switched freely,  more flexible to operate.
