Product Description

I. General information

GD-2/500kV Voltage Detector is a high voltage detect tool, which is composed of signal device and insulated rod. Signal device adopt with integrated circuits, during the work, it can detect the electromagnetism strength of electrified body to determine the tested conductor if electriferous or not, and automatically start the voice circuit and light indicator.
It can detect over 6KV HV source if electriferous or not, different voltage level electroscope equip with different insulated rod, it can be detect up to 500KV voltage. Below 10kV, the signal device can be used as 220V LV electroscope without insulated  rod.
It is small size, light weight, simple to use and easy for carrying. It is widely used in Substations, Power plants, Industrial and Mining enterprises and Scientific Research Dept. Detecting Station and Electrical Maintenance Dept. for voltage checking and field work. 
The insulated rod is high voltage moisture-proof insulated rod, accord with IEC/IC78 standard. It is moisture-proof, high temperature resistance, shock resistance, bending resistance and high insulation.

The signal device adopt with mask integrated, it is contact high voltage electroscope, automatically detect the electrified body if electriferous or not. When the measured voltage is higher than the electroscope trigger voltage, the signal device will start the
language circuit and warning: "Danger, electriferous! ", at the same time, there is a light at the bottom of signal device.

Insulated rod effective length: the minimum distance of the hand hold insulated rod from electroscope.  
Insulated rod shrink length: the length of insulated rod after shrinked.
Insulated rod stretch length: the length of insulated rod after extended.


IV.Application

1. Please check the signal device to make sure it is ok before using.
Check method: Press the self-check button of signal device, it will be warning "Danger, electriferous!", at the same time, there is a light at the bottom of signal device. Then the signal device is ok, can be used.
2.Fixed the signal device on insulated rod, pull out the insulated rod till tight.     
3. Hold insulated rod, do not exceed the the handrail limit mark.
4. When detecting, please approach the probe to tested conductor slowly. If the signal device emit language and light, that means the tested conductor is eletriferous. Otherwise, if no language or light, that means the tested conductor is not eletriferous
5.For security consideration, you can test electriferous conductor first to see whether it is good or not, and then apply in formal use. 
6. Is the electroscope is 6KV and 10KV, you can used as 220V Low voltage electroscope without insulated rod. The method is contact the button screw with hand, and contact the 220V live wire, the device will emit language and lights.

VII. Attention
1. Electroscope trigger voltage will have some changes because of the influence of the ambient temperature and humidity, but the change will not exceed the scope of the data as above table I. Please note in use.
2. There are one section 9V stacked battery in the signal device. If the battery voltage drops, language volume will reduce . Please replace the battery by yourself.
3. Usually, the batteries can be used for 2 years.
