Correct measurement of the acid dew point of the flue gas can control the appropriate exhaust temperature, not only to prevent condensation corrosion, but also to recover as much heat energy as possible to ensure the safe and economic operation of the boiler.
The acid dew point of flue gas is the temperature at which the liquid reaches equilibrium with the vapor covering its surface. Boiler flue gas contains about 10% H2O steam and a certain amount of SO3, when the temperature is below 200ºC, SO3 and H2O generate H2SO4 steam, so the acid dew point of the flue gas is the temperature when the mixed steam of H2O-H2SO4 and the solution of H2O-H2SO4 are in equilibrium.
