I. General information
With the development of the medium voltage switch without oil, the vacuum switch get the extensive expansion and applications with its special advantage. In these years, due to the production process and field use environment, some vacuum switches have different degrees of leakage in their vacuuminterrupters during operation, and some may leak to the point where they cannot be normally interrupted within the normal life span. Breaking in this case will cause the phenomenon that it cannot be broken normally and cause serious consequences. Most domestic vacuum switch accidents are caused by this reason. Therefore, it is very important to strengthen the regular or irregular detection of the vacuum degree of the vacuum switch.
The traditional detection method is the "withstanding voltage method", that is, when the vacuum switch is in the off state, a certain voltage is applied between the moving and static contacts to detect the magnitude of the leakage current, and thus infer whether the vacuum tube is good or bad. The advantage of this method is that it is easy to operate; the disadvantage is that it can only detect the quality of the vacuum tube qualitatively; and the vacuum degree cannot be accurately distinguished between 10-5 and 10-1Pa, so it is impossible to judge the development trend of leakage (that is, the same how leaky a vacuum switch is compared to the last time).
