HVHIPOT GDXG-H Transmission Overhead Line Fault Locator

General Information


GDXG-H Transmission (Overhead) Line Fault Locator is suitable for locating 6-35kV overhead line faults, and can solve various fault types such as low-resistance faults, high-resistance faults, arc-ground faults, and phase-to-phase short-circuit faults. Provides a complete set of overhead line fault location solutions, integrating four functions of fault diagnosis, AC location, DC location, DC withstand voltage, and AC withstand voltage. The innovative AC positioning mode, for low-resistance faults, detects the characteristic signal directly below the line, no need to mount the sensor on the pole, and has the characteristics of simple operation and convenient use.

For high-resistance faults that occur on lines equipped with smart switches (with grounded PTs), the AC positioning + booster method is adopted without releasing the PT. The transmitter has a built-in large-capacity lithium battery, which is convenient to use and carry.

The whole set of equipment is mainly composed of transmitter, receiver, AC booster, direct connection sensor, suspension sensor, arc light grounding adapter and accessories.

  1. AC positioning - direct connection output (low transition resistance grounding):
  • Transmission signal: active injection of high-power special low-frequency AC signal.

  • Efficient work: No need to climb the pole, which greatly improves the test efficiency and reduces the work intensity.
 
  1. AC positioning-external booster output (there is a grounded PT in the line, and the intermediate transition resistance is grounded):
  • Transmission signal: active injection of high-power special low-frequency AC signal.
  • Receive the signal: search in sections along the line, you need to mount the sensor on the pole.
  • No need to release line ground PT.
  • Innovative resistive current content and current amplitude comparison to solve a wider range of faults.
 
  1. DC positioning (high/low transition resistance grounding and arc grounding):
  • Transmission signal: active injection of high-power pulsating DC signal.
  • Receive signal: search in sections along the line, you need to mount the sensor on the pole.
  • Almighty positioning mode, especially to solve the arc light grounding positioning problem.
 
  1. DC withstand voltage and AC withstand voltage
  • Acceptance test after fault repair.
 
  1. The transmitter has the function of stopping automatic discharge to ensure safe operation.
