General
GD-2 Series High Voltage Detector is a high voltage detect tool, which is composed of signal device and insulated rod. Signal device adopt with integrated circuits, during the work, it can detect the electromagnetism strength of electrified body to determine the tested conductor if electriferous or not, and automatically start the voice circuit and light indicator.It can detect over 6KV HV source if electriferous or not, different voltage level electroscope equip with different insulated rod, it can be detect up to 800KV voltage. Below 10kV, the signal device can be used as 220V LV electroscope without insulated  rod.
It is small size,light weight, simple to use and easy for carrying.It is widely used in Substations,Power plants,Industrial and Mining enterprises and Scientific Research Dept.

1. If the electrical appliances need to have a extended contact electrode, then all the tests should be performed with the extended electrode. The design and manufacturing of electrical appliances should ensure the safety of the user's personal and equipment during the use of the correct operation methods and instructions. The electrical appliances should be changed through the change of the signal state, which clearly indicates that "existence of voltage" or "no voltage", and indicates that it can be sound / light form or other obvious disagreement methods.
2. The material performance of the insulation operating rod should meet the requirements of GB13398. When the electrical appliances are operating normally, as the time is touched with electricity and grounding components, the appliances should not flash and break through. When the electrical appliances are checked normally, the display should not be destroyed or stopped due to the effect of electric flames. The leakage current of insulation should not be greater than 0.5mA.
3. Under the rated voltage (or rated voltage range), the appliances should be displayed clearly. After the starting voltage of the electrical appliance is set, the user cannot adjust it casually. When the electrical appliances are directly connected to the band power equipment, the appliances should be displayed continuously. When using electrical appliances according to the instructions, the existence of neighboring power components or grounding components should not affect the correctness of electrical inspection instructions. When the measured equipment is measured only with interference voltage, there should be no electrical signals, and the existence of interference in the electrical field should not affect the correctness of the display.
4. The DC voltage reduction method of the current ---- voltage meter method is used to measure. The test current should not be less than 30A.Calculate the resistance of each meter  according to the length of each wiring end and the DC resistance value.
5. The connection of the insulation rod should be tight and firm, without loosening, rust and break.

Test items, cycles and requirements
The various insulation rods in the resistance test should not occur or breakdown. After the test, the insulation rod should have no discharge and burns,no obvious heating phenomenon.
